Occupational Therapist
Suhantee Sathananthan is a doctoral student in rehabilitation at McGill University. She has nearly ten years of experience as an occupational therapist, having worked in various healthcare settings, including acute care hospitals, home care in CLSCs, and rehabilitation centers in cities such as Timmins, Quebec, and Montreal.
In addition to her role as an occupational therapist, she worked as a respiratory therapist at St. Mary’s Hospital in an acute care setting for five years. She has successfully passed national exams, including those from the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy (CAOT) and the New York State Occupational Therapy (NYSOT).
She is presently registered with the Ordre des Ergothérapeute du Québec (OEQ). Currently, Suhantee is working for Kinatex Pointe-Claire, bringing her skills in pediatric dysphagia (e.g., managing swallowing difficulties in children), pediatric fine motor skills (e.g., improving hand-eye coordination and dexterity), and pediatric pre-K skills (e.g., enhancing early childhood developmental milestones such as cutting with scissors and drawing shapes).
