Shamese Barakat is an occupational therapist at Kinatex Pierrefonds.
Graduated from McGill University in 2006, she also completed an intensive functional capacity evaluation training, allowing her to put into place a comprehensive rehabilitation program (programme de développement des capacités) within 2 clinics, coordinating interdisciplinary teams to promote recovery, function and ultimately achieve return to work goals with the CNESST, SAAQ and private clientele. In 2018, she completed a master’s program at McGill University and obtained a graduate certificate in driving rehabilitation. This area of occupational therapy quickly became a passion of hers.
At Kinatex Sports Physio since 2018, Shamese joined the owner’s team in 2019. She demonstrates a particular interest in treatment of certain hand conditions and offers splint fabrication services when required.
Shamese is ready to welcome patients of all ages and fitness levels to the Pierrefonds clinic, helping them regain their mobility and improve their quality of life.
