Physiotherapist

Maryam obtained her master’s degree in physiotherapy from the University of Montreal.She also has a certificate to perform peripheral manipulations and to prescribe an X-ray. Her academic career began in 2000 on education/teaching. After working as a lecturer at universities for about ten years, Maryam decided to devote herself to physiotherapy to realize her passion for the human body and health. What attracted her to the profession of physiotherapist was the feeling of making a difference in people’s daily lives by reducing their pain and motivating them to stay in shape by maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. She works with adult clients with neuro-musculoskeletal issues. She also has a particular interest in perineal and pelvic rehabilitation in women and vestibular rehabilitation. Her therapeutic approach is patient-centered, combining manual techniques, therapeutic exercise and education to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Maryam speaks five languages: English, French, Persian, Azerbaijani and Turkish.
