Yoga Therapy
Yoga therapy is a safe way of working with your body and mind to optimize well-being.
At CSP we believe that yoga practices can be safely and effectively used to address and maintain optimal pelvic floor health in people of any gender.
Pelvic floor health is so critical! Heck, why do you think we have an entire clinic dedicated to it! Your pelvic floor muscles support your bowel, bladder, and uterus and help control bladder and bowel movements. They even have a role in sexual function. They also in hip function, breathing, core strength, standing balance and more!
This is where pelvic floor physiotherapy and yoga come into play.
Yoga teaches us how to mindfully strengthen, relax and stretch muscles throughout the body to keep them in equilibrium. This balanced approach makes it an optimal technique for strengthening the pelvic floor muscles and addressing pelvic pain.
Although all yoga is potentially therapeutic and healing, yoga therapy is the specific application of tools—postures/exercises, breathwork, meditation techniques, and more—to address an individual’s physical, mental, and emotional needs.
